    Duties

     

    • Implement strategies of  the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child  at a national level
    • Guide the transitioning of State Homes
    •  Provide a secure and nurturing environment for all children
    • Develop comprehensive, coherent  & harmonized initiatives to promote, protect & respect child rights

     

    Main Service

    • Break The Silence (Education on Child Sexual Abuse)
    • Child Rights Education
    • Community Residences Development
    • Policy & Regulation Development
    • Documents/Comments/Recommendations: to several external agencies e.g. CARICOM, INN, UNICEF etc.
    • Ensure that well-coordinated child services are in place
